The Human Resources team provide generalist and specialist expertise to the business and reputationally are well respected by the business. We work closely with our European counterparts as well as HR colleagues in our parent company based in Houston. Due to growth, complexity and the drive for continuous improvement we are expanding the HR team by adding some key roles.


Job Purpose:
The Human Resource Assistant position will support the Human Resources Manager and more broadly the HR team, by ensuring that HR procedures, systems, processes and controls are maintained to a high level of accuracy and by providing support and guidance to managers and employees on a range of people related topics or queries. The role will focus predominantly on the UK though work alongside HR colleagues in Europe.


As HRA you will also have the opportunity to work on HR projects, working alongside an established and well-respected Human Resources team.


Key Responsibilities:
Build professional working relationships with employees and managers to support and guide on HR policy and practice
Take responsibility for the employee on-boarding process from offer stage through to first day induction, managing the process flow and all related administration in a timely manner
Support HRM and Head of HR with ER cases, arranging and attending meetings and taking notes as required
Support cyclical HR activities such as performance review, pay cycles, talent reviews, engagement surveys etc.
Manage the probationary review process liaising with managers to obtain feedback, escalating issues to the HRM as required
Take the lead on Flexible Working applications, liaising with Managers ensuring the correct procedure is followed and escalating matters to the HRM when required
Guide managers and employees on policy and procedure related to family care such as maternity, paternity and parental leave
Maintain accurate data including absence, organization charts and HR MI
Maintain data in all HR systems to a high degree of accuracy e.g. PeopleSoft, dealing with employee queries as required
Respond to reference requests including those required under SM&CR
Manage the leavers process including exit interviews, IT access and changes. Regularly produce a report on Exit interview data to HRM and Head of HR
Assist with Learning and Development activities such as individual training needs, events and presentations
With the L&D Manager, manage the Apprenticeship Levy and professional development across the UK
Support Diversity & Inclusion, Wellness and CSR activities
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as SM&CR, Risk and Compliance activities to meet our commitments to the FCA and PRA
Take an active role in various project groups as assigned by the Head of HR, working closely with our parent company and HR team in Houston and across Europe
Maintain and update the HR Intranet and other HR related systems as required
