What will I be doing?
A part-time flexible recycling operative position has become available within the Northumberland PFI operations team, we'll look to you to provide excellent levels of customer service, advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:
Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site
Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly
Maintaining a tidy site within his/her areas of responsibility
Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions
Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures
Undertaking first aider duties and fire warden duties on site
Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.
It is an ideal opportunity to learn about the recovery and recycling of household waste. This role is primarily to provide cover for holidays/ training days and emergency across a number of sites. What are the requirements?
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
What you will need is:
Basic admin skills with a good level of customer service and team work approach
Ideally some prior mobile plant but the willingness to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, operation and maintenance of site equipment.
